These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the WDA website, including information about our programmes, applications, workshops, projects, events, donation opportunities, and other services or content made available through the website.
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website.
1. About WDA
WDA provides design education, workshops, mentorship, practical learning opportunities and related creative programmes.
WDA's tuition-free graphic design programme is intended for eligible applicants who meet the admission requirements established by WDA for each cohort.
WDA reserves the right to establish, amend, or update programme requirements, schedules, curriculum, application procedures, selection criteria, locations, instructors and other programme details.
2. Eligibility
Unless otherwise stated for a specific programme or activity, applications to WDA's main design programme are intended for individuals aged 18 years or older.
By submitting an application, you confirm that:
- the information you provide is accurate and complete;
- you meet the stated eligibility requirements;
- you are submitting the application on your own behalf; and
- you understand that submitting an application does not guarantee admission.
WDA may request additional information or documentation where reasonably necessary to assess an application.
3. Applications and Admissions
WDA's programmes may receive a large number of applications. Admission is selective and is based on the criteria established by WDA for the relevant programme or cohort.
Submitting an application does not create a contractual relationship between you and WDA and does not guarantee:
- admission;
- participation in a particular cohort;
- a particular class schedule;
- access to a particular instructor or mentor; or
- completion of the programme.
WDA may contact applicants using the contact information provided in their application regarding their application, admission status, programme information, or other matters directly related to their participation.
Applicants are responsible for ensuring that the information they provide is accurate and up to date.
4. Tuition and Programme Fees
Unless otherwise stated, WDA's designated academy programme is tuition-free.
WDA reserves the right to introduce fees for particular activities, events, materials, services, or future programmes where clearly stated in advance.
WDA will not charge applicants a fee simply for submitting an application to a programme advertised as tuition-free.
5. Certificate of Completion
Where applicable, participants who successfully satisfy WDA's programme requirements may receive a Wadie Design Academy Certificate of Completion.
The Wadie Design Academy Certificate of Completion is issued by WDA and is intended to recognize completion of WDA's programme.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the certificate:
- is not a Ghanaian government qualification;
- is not a CTVET qualification;
- does not represent accreditation by CTVET; and
- should not be represented by a participant as a government-issued or nationally accredited TVET qualification.
WDA will not represent its programme or certificate as being accredited by a government authority unless such accreditation has actually been obtained.
6. Internship Opportunities
Where WDA offers or facilitates internship opportunities for participants who complete the programme.
- Internship opportunities are guaranteed for all participants who successfully complete the programme and meet the applicable internship eligibility requirements.
- WDA will facilitate placement with a suitable partner or host organization based on availability and the participant’s skills and interests.
- Host organizations operate independently of WDA. Unless expressly stated otherwise, WDA is not the employer for any internship and the terms of an internship (including duties, schedule, and any stipend) are set by the host organization.
- WDA does not guarantee any internship outcome, offer of employment, or level of compensation.
7. Workshops and Community Activities
WDA may organize workshops, talks, school programmes, community activities, exhibitions, mentorship sessions and other creative initiatives.
Participation requirements may vary depending on the activity.
WDA may document its programmes and activities through photographs, video, audio, testimonials, or other media. Where required, WDA will obtain appropriate consent for the use of identifiable participant images or other personal information.
8. Donations
WDA may provide opportunities through its website for individuals and organizations to make voluntary donations.
Unless otherwise stated, donations made through WDA's designated donation channels are intended to support WDA's school and community design workshops and related outreach activities.
Donations are voluntary and do not purchase admission to WDA's programme or guarantee admission to any WDA programme.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. WDA does not directly receive or store complete payment-card information where payment processing is handled by a third-party provider.
Donation transactions may be subject to the terms, conditions, privacy policies and processing practices of the relevant payment provider.
